Notes for NANNIE ELIZABETH MERCER:
According to Sadie Jones Glynn Nancy Elizabeth (Great Aunt Lizzie was a Mercer, her tombstone is beside the daughter at the entrance of Hollywood Cemetery to the left, Sadie's dear young friend Mary Rainey's husband's mother was a Mercer she also feels that George Day Jones , Nannie's husband is probably buried next to Virginia Lucretia at the Uptonville Cem. since she knows that he was buried in the country when he died. There is no marker at Uptonville, I was there May 1989 however there is a space between Virginia and her grandparents James J. and Patience Jones this may be where George is buried.

Nancy (Nannie) is buried in Hollywood cemetery , grave # A 23 next to Eva Kate Jones her daughter who was killed in the 1920's in a car accident. Nancy died in Shelby Co. in 1932
